Cette phrase évoque immanquablement quelque chose à ceux qui poussent régulièrement la porte de notre petite boutique, puisque chez Ozibao on l’aime tellement qu’on en a fait un (magnifique) tee-shirt.
Cette déclaration de Bill Shankly, le coach mythique des Reds de Liverpool, vaut son pesant de cacahuètes. Et elle mérite qu’on s’y attarde.
Dans un premier temps, cette phrase prête à sourire. On ironise sur la légendaire stupidité des footballeurs et leur capacité à nous étonner avec des déclarations aussi incongrues et absurdes.
Le football plus « sérieux » que la vie ou la mort ? On croit rêver ! Bon d’accord, ce sport suscite un profond engouement chez certaines personnes (et je sais de quoi je parle), et on sait à quel point les gens peuvent parfois devenir obsédés par leurs passions, mais tout de même… Qu’est ce qui pourrait « sérieusement » être plus important que ces questions de vie ou de mort ? Rien. Et certainement pas un sport, aussi populaire soit-il.
Cette phrase n’a pas de sens, elle est ridicule et donc, elle devient drôle. CQFD
Et pourtant… Un jour, le message de Bill m’est apparu, et j’ai compris. Oui, j’ai compris (en partie) !
Bon en fait, j’me rends compte que ça serait assez difficile à expliquer. Alors le plus simple c’est de vous dire comment j’ai compris… Et bien tout simplement en lisant (ah ba oui c’est bien beau de regarder les matchs de foot, mais faut bouquiner aussi un peu de temps en temps ^^).
Ainsi je vous livre (ah ah, notez le spectaculaire jeu de mot, ça vaut bien une madjer de Robinho, non ?) la clef pour saisir l’essentiel de cette pensée Shanklienne ; l’excellent ouvrage de Dominique Paganelli (ancien rédacteur en chef des Cahiers du Football) intitulé « Libre Arbitre : onze histoires loyales ou déloyales du football mondial »
Donc je résume, pour les deux du fond…
Pour bien faire, vous achetez le tee-shirt dans le shop d’Ozibao 
et ensuite vous filez à la librairie acheter (ou commander – ou à la bibliothèque emprunter) le bouquin de Paganelli. Et ensuite, vous pourrez porter fièrement votre tee-shirt, avec l’air intelligent de celui qui a tout compris et avec le brin d’arrogance qui caractérise « celui qui sait ».
Voilà comment on devient spécialiste ès Pensée Shanklienne. La classe !
